Amy Lou

Artist, Singer, Writer

Amy Lou is a singer-songwriter from Essex. As a child, music was always present and she wrote her first song at 12 years old, self-accompanied. Her musical upbringing was a kaleidoscope of genres, a symphony of sounds that painted the soundtrack to her formative years. It was clear that Amy fell in love with RnB and soul from Stevie Wonder to The Drifters. Her own music has an acoustic pop-soul-rnb feel and as well as the artists from her youth, she also takes influence from those in more recent years: Amy Winehouse, HER, Olivia Dean, Yebba, James Arthur and Adele. Her singing and original material has been praised by recognisable names including James Arthur, Anne Marie, Mae Muller, Tom Walker and Sam Bailey.

In 2020, Amy sold out her first headline show in London despite the pandemic. Fast-forward to 2022, she released her debut single ‘Lost’ which is a conversational outpouring from a girl struggling in her 20s, written at 1am one lockdown morning. The song secured BBC support, radio play, Spotify editorial play-listing and thousands of TikTok views.
