B MELA is an emerging, singer songwriter from the UK bridging the gap between R&B and pop music. Her unique, warm and melodic tone encapsulates her sound and exemplifies a true feel-good artist. She thrives on telling well thought out stories through her lyrics and loves to create sweet melodies through music composition. MELA stands for 'mastering expressing love always' and this is exactly what she stands for. An advocate for self-love and empathy, B MELA aspires to inspire people through the medium of music. Influenced by artists such as Beyoncé, Coldplay, Brandy, Jazmine Sullivan, Solange, Frank Ocean, Labrinth, Robyn and more, B MELA pulls from life's experiences writing her songs in hopes of connecting with others.

Raised by her two Nigerian parents with her three younger siblings, B MELA established a passion for music early on. Her dad played keys at church and her mum sang in the choir. They later created a couples gospel album which B MELA openly cringed at but secretly loved and was inspired by her parents. She explored singing and performing further by joining different choirs and musical ensembles in London. She later found her voice in song writing and merged all of her influences into one. She aims to create music people wish to be a part of, whether through listening on repeat or through collaboration. B MELA allows her true self to shine through her music and works hard to cultivate a sound that is authentic to herself and is timeless.
